Who is responsible for your data

What data I collect

  • Contact form: your name, your email address and the message you write.
  • WhatsApp, email or TikTok: whatever information you choose to share with me through those channels.
  • Website tools: the numbers you enter in the loan / mortgage calculator and the cash flow tool, anonymously (see below).
  • If we work together: the information about your financial situation that you share so I can help you.
  • Technical data: the server hosting this website keeps basic logs (IP address, date, page visited, browser) for security.

I never ask for account numbers, passwords or ID documents through this website. Please don't send them through the form.

What I use it for and on what legal basis

  • To reply to your message: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form or by writing to me.
  • To deliver the service if you hire me: performance of that contract.
  • To meet tax and accounting obligations: legal obligation.
  • To keep the website secure: legitimate interest in protecting it from abuse.

I don't use your data for advertising, I don't profile you or make automated decisions, and I don't sell or rent your data to anyone.

Who it is shared with

Only with the providers needed to make this work: the website and email host (Hostinger) and, if you message me on WhatsApp or TikTok, those platforms (Meta and TikTok). Each processes data under its own privacy policy. I may also have to disclose data if a law or authority requires it.

Where it is processed

Melvin Finex LLC is based in the United States, so your data is processed there. If you live in the European Union, I still apply the principles and rights of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Client reviews

If you leave a review on the page I send you, I store your rating, your comment, the display name you choose (optional), the service you used and the date. I don't store your email or IP address. It is only published on the website if you tick the box allowing it, and you can ask me at any time to remove or delete it.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, or any tracking tools, which is why you won't see a cookie banner. Since there is no tracking, browser "Do Not Track" signals make no difference.

Tools: anonymous records

When you use the loan / mortgage calculator or the cash flow tool, the numbers you enter (amounts, terms, interest rates, income and expenses by category), the currency, the language and the date are recorded anonymously. This shows what visitors look up and helps improve the tools and content.

  • Your IP address, name, email or phone are not stored, nor any identifier that could reveal who you are or recognize you on another visit.
  • The names you type under "Other expenses" are not sent, only how many there are and their total.
  • It is never linked to messages you send through the contact form.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the service. If you'd rather your numbers weren't recorded, untick "Share my numbers anonymously" in the tool itself; your choice is remembered in your browser.

The cash flow tool also keeps a copy of your numbers in your browser's local storage so you don't lose them when you close the page. That copy never leaves your device and you can delete it with the "Clear all" button.

How long I keep it

Messages that don't lead to a service are deleted within 24 months at most. If we work together, I keep the information for as long as the service lasts and then for as long as legal or tax obligations require.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its use, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw your consent. Email hola@melvinfinex.com and I'll reply within one month.

If you believe I haven't handled your request properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es). If you live in the United States, including California, you have these same rights of access, correction and deletion.

Minors

This service is intended for people aged 18 and over. I do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll publish the new version on this page with its update date.
